Community Service

As a group of small companies located in Southeastern Pennsylvania, LTG (Laboratory Technical Group) is involved in the local communities through its member companies. The Companies assist with the National Society of Professional Engineers MathCounts program. This is a program to recognize top math students in the 7th and 8th grade through countywide math competitions. These lead to State and National Competitions in which prizes range up to full scholarships for the winners.

The engineers also are involved in career day activities in local schools and have created projects for demonstration at Science Competitions. One such project was a Ping Pong Ball Cannon with a System to prevent ball spin and a Laser Sighting System. This cannon was later taken into the classroom to explain the engineering process from start to finish in building any new prototype device.
