A Brief History

The LTG (Laboratory Technical Group) is comprised of several small engineering companies located in Southeastern Pennsylvania. LTG began as a number of these companies were working for various industries in the area. These include Bakeries, Poultry Processing, Chemical Plants, Plastics Processes and Pharmaceuticals to name a few. Switchger

As the scope of the projects grew and became more challenging, each of the small companies found themselves in need of expertise in areas other than their own. Because of the personal involvement in these projects, only the most qualified and experienced engineers in the required fields were necessary.

This was especially applicable to small-scale pilot plant and "in hood" research laboratory processes. In these situations, entire plant processes are modeled for study before the full-scale plant is built. Therefore these hood or pilot plants required all of the instrumentation, (and sometimes more), all the piping and equipment of a full-scale plant, packaged at small scale, into a lab hood or room.

This can only be accomplished with a great deal of innovation and creativity, because the sizes and flows can be too small, or the process too new, for existing off-the-shelf equipment to be usable. So, although LTG can certainly engineer full-scale processes, it maintains a unique and extraordinary talent for these prototype processes and machines.

LTG was born though vast experience with new and unique processes, recognizing that the level of engineering expertise required to complete these projects could only be found in the small specialized companies brought together as necessary to perform as one efficient, experienced project team.
