The Philosophy

The LTG (Laboratory Technical Group) seeks to provide the greatest depth of experience and qualifications with the least overhead possible. Each of the engineers who make up each of the small companies in this group, personally do the work. It is not delegated to less qualified, less experienced personnel, working under several layers of management. This not only saves money, but also saves time and reduces errors.

And because it is a Group and not one company, staffing on any project can be adjusted very efficiently, without the assigned staff having to "carry" other people not currently assigned.

Through this use of small companies, the experience level of the professionals actually performing the engineering is very high (currently 25 – 40 years) at a cost lower than what is charged for inexperienced designers at large firms, due to the overhead, which they must add.

Even more important then the length of experience is the depth of experience. The Past Projects button will take you to the list of projects in several industries, which were successfully completed by the companies in this group. However, experience is more than just past projects.

Besides being licensed Professional Engineers, the engineers in this group are "Hands on" engineers. One of the Mechanical Engineers has his own machine shop in his basement and has developed various prototypes there. An Electrical Engineer has an electronics lab at home and designs audio equipment; another designed custom circuitry for shooting ranges, remote control aircraft and several other specific applications. They have restored automobiles and built panels, and the list goes on. The bottom line is that they have the academic and professional credentials, but also know how to create things that work in the "real" world.

The "real" world involves working as a team, and a "hands on" engineer relates well with the mechanics required to install a project. This is very important for a successful project. The mutual respect of the trades by the engineer and the engineer by the tradesman is often the key to a successful project. The safety and well being of all involved in a project is also direct result of this mutual respect.

The LTG is NOT a large multinational corporation. It's group of highly qualified, experienced professional engineers that know how to develop solutions, and implement them quickly, efficiently and cost effectively.
